So a website with a link that says “now” goes to a page that tells you what this person is focused on at this point in their life. For short, we call it a “now page”.
Life
I moved back home to last year Turku after a failed visit to Berlin and have been happy living here. I love seeing forest from every window from my apartment while still being close enough to city center to hang out with friends and attend events.
I made a massive breakthrough in understanding the origins of my impostor syndrome and I've honestly felt really good after that. I'm still processing it and journaling to discover more.
This summer has been such a wonderful sports summer and it just keeps giving. European Athletics, UEFA EURO, Jukola orienteering and World Orienteering Championships with the Olympics in progress.
Work
I'm currently working as a full-stack web developer, building tooling for people working in media and journalism. After an 8-month unemployment, it's been nice to work for the summer.
On the other hand, it's a temporary gig so I still need to keep on looking for something new starting in September. I'd love to find a good community building or software development job where I could succeed and gain balance in life.
Communities
The summer season is time for me to take a breather until in August I start to work towards building a good fall season for both Turku ❤️ Frontend and archipylago and I'm really excited for both the break and what's coming.
Tiny joys
I've been rewatching Ghibli movies once again. They are just amazing pieces of storytelling and art.
