Yahtzee

Currently my Minimal Travel Table Top Game Collection contains these six card games + dice. Here are simplified rules for Yahtzee.

Dice

For this game, you need:

• Friends or foes to play with
• 5 dice
• Paper to keep score with

Scoring Sheet

Yahtzee is scored on a chart with multiple rows

Upper Section

• Aces (1): score equals the amount of 1s
• Twos (2): score equals the amount of 2s
• Threes (3): score equals the amount of 3s
• Fours (4): score equals the amount of 4s
• Fives (5): score equals the amount of 5s
• Sixes (6): score equals the amount of 6s
• Total score: sum of above
• Bonus: if total above is >=63, score 35 points
• Total of upper section: Total score + bonus

Lower Section

• 3 of a kind: total sum of three same dice
• 4 of a kind: total sum of four same dice
• Full house (3 of a kind and a pair): 25 pts
• Small straight (4 consequtive): 30 pts
• Large straight (5 consequtive): 40 pts
• Yahtzee (5 of a kind): 50
• Chance: sum of all dice
• Lower Section total: sum of Lower Section scores
• Total Score: sum of upper section and lower section scores

Gameplay

• Roll all five dice. Player can choose to save any dice they want and reroll, twice.
• Choose a category and score.
